Endor: Worth Fighting For!

Wow. Just wow. I still can't believe this has/is happening. The idea that I am doing a fully licensed piece of art work for STAR WARS blows my mind!? When Acme Archives approached me early this year about doing a piece of Star Wars artwork in conjunction with "May the 4th Be With You" and Star Wars Weekends at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida I was blown away. 2 of my favorite things in the world; Walt Disney World AND Star Wars, sign me up!

The concept I came up with was kind of a travel/propaganda style poster for Endor featuring everyone's favorite (and loveable) furry forest creatures; Ewoks! Here is a glimpse at my actual process for "Endor: Worth Fighting For!" from thumbnail to final-ish sketch to color tests to final!

Anyways, the print will go on sale from Acme Archives on their website Dark Ink Art starting May 4th at 1:00pm PST. After that, the print will go on sale exclusively at Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World starting May 16th for Star Wars Weekends and Disney World's website. I am not sure about how many prints will be made available/set aside for the Dark Ink Art website and Disney World so you will have to follow Acme Archives on Twitter for more info. I do know that the print will be a limited edition run of 150 total, just not sure of the breakdown yet. Here are the rest of the print details:

Oh and one final note. Star Wars Weekends starts Friday May 16 and runs through Sunday, June 15, 2014 (obviously only happens on the weekends) at Disney's Hollywood Studios. I will actually be attending during the first weekend to take in some of the festivities as I've never been to SW Weekends. If you find yourself in the parks that weekend be sure to tweet me and maybe say hello! I love meeting fans! For all the info about Star Wars Weekends, please visit Disney's website!

Star Wars.
Disney World.

"That's a Big Twinkie"

This project really has been a dream come true. Gallery 1988 and Sony Pictures are celebrating the 30th (?!) anniversary of Ghostbusters, a truly amazing movie! Gallery 1988 put together "a traveling art show to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this incredible film including original artwork, limited edition prints & apparel". The show open this past weekend (April 19th) in NYC in Tribeca right around the corner from the GB firehouse which I got to visit!
Each artist was asked to create their own unique take on this amazing movie and this is what I came up with! Kind of a "Ghostbusters meets Bewitched" vibe. The traveling art show is currently in NYC but will also be popping up in Chicago, LA and then finally in San Diego Comic Con this summer. If you are interested in purchasing my officially licensed print or any others from the show you must buy them in person at each gallery location; no online sales except for a few select pieces. Head on over to for more info or to Gallery 1988's blog.

You can also email me direct if you have any questions about my piece or how to purchase one!

Hawthorne Grill

My contribution to Gallery 1988's 10 Year Anniversary show; "The Subtle Art of Pop Culture". The idea/theme of the show was to depict something from pop culture but without it "screaming" the subject matter. I choose to depict the iconic diner "Hawthorne Diner" from the cult 1994 hit; Pulp Fiction.

Also, that's supposed to be me walking in front of the diner in the red shirt. Just because...
